Rejuvenate your tired cabinet hardware.
Use new door handles or draw knobs, don’t be afraid to be bold with your selection. If you want a feeling of elegance, add some crystal cabinet knobs or stone jewels to your draw pulls on toyour cabinet vanity. If you want a rustic country down home feeling, try using old-fashioned latches in distressed black or bronze.
Try changing the towel bars.
Be creative: you don’t have to replace them in the same place they have always been think of a different wall that might work for a switch up. The end of the cabinet vanity is always a nice place to hang a towel ring for a hand towel. If there’s more than one of you, how about a double towel bar at a lower level and then hang a beautiful piece of artwork above, you can use a painting or some staggered shelves then add a few decorative perfume bottles, be creative have fun with it.
Match your accessories to your cabinet hardware and lighting fixtures.
You can get all your accessories, towel bar, paper holders, and soap dishes etc. to match your cabinet hardware exactly or you may want to be different yet stay with the same finish to tie it all together. Think about your light fixture, it too is available in any of the finishes you may have selected to use even the doorknob is available in finishes to match the cabinet hardware
Don’t forget the faucets !!
It is not necessary to change all the faucets, at tub, shower and the sink. However, in order to have a complete look that encompasses the whole bathroom, you may want to do so. If you’re only thinking of changing one faucet, make that one change at the sink, select a sink faucet to match with the cabinet hardware you have already selected, by doing so, it makes a more finished look. If the tub faucet is visible in plain view you should change that as well. Usually the showerhead and faucet is not in plain view and can be over looked if you need to cut cost, but again you may not feel that your job is complete with out that change too. It is all up to you.
You can do all of these ideas or just a few, with what ever you choose, by the time you are all through you won’t be bored in the bath any more, you’ll have a showplace to be proud of.
